Predictions: Money In The Bank (2017)

Money In The Bank Ladder Match

With the amount of talent in the ring at one time, this could be one of the best MITB Ladder matches of all time!

Is anyone else still completely underwhelmed by Shinsuke Nakamura on the main roster? If it’s just me then that’s fine but something is missing, a piece of the puzzle that allows him to be awesome. I’m not sure being in this match will help him regain his lost mojo, unless of course he wins. Which I don’t think he will.

I also think we can rule out Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens from the potential winners list. Simply because Owens is US Champion and Zayn and Ziggler are Zayn and Ziggler. Heck I even think AJ Styles, who I would love to see win (I’d love to see him win everything forever) and all his star power probably doesn’t have a chance. Why is that? Well I’ll tell you friend.

Despite the massive culmination of talent this match has, I can only see one winner. Baron Corbin. Which I’m perfectly fine with (despite my Styles bias), I think he would be the prefect heel to carry the briefcase around for a while. He can smugly saunter to the ring with it, make a few threats and then eventually take advantage of the perfect opportunity later down the line. The only catch is that if Jinder is still champion, it might be a while before anything happens. Which isn’t a problem but WWE might want a babyface going after a heel champion.

As confident as I am in Corbin winning though, if Nakamura did win I wouldn’t be shocked.

Winner: Baron Corbin

WWE Championship
Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Randy Orton

It’s still so bizarre to see Mahal as WWE Champion but after plenty of flip-flopping on the issue, I’ve decided I love it.

How underwhelming would it be if Jinder Mahal just lost the title straight back to Randy Orton? What a waste that would be.

Now I’ll admit when Jinder initially won the WWE Championship it took me a few days to come around to the idea. The rushed, out of nowhere build of a previous jobber seemed like a terrible decision but I actually think he’s been doing really well. The crowd reactions he’s been getting have been great and quite frankly anything is better than Randy Orton as champion.

So WWE took the gamble and it looks to be paying off big time, so by hook or by crook with shenanigans aplenty Jinder Mahal is walking out of Money In The Bank Champion.

Unless, of course there is a last-minute cash in!

Winner: Jinder Mahal
